About Course

Quantity surveying (QS) is a field within the construction where construction costs is estimated and managed. As a quantitative surveyor, your responsibilities include cost consulting, risk management and calculation, commercial management, asset capitalisation and project management.

Quantity surveyors manage the costs and budget of a building project from outset to completion. You’ll ensure the costs of the project do not exceed the budget. You’ll need a good working knowledge of the construction industry and excellent numeracy skills. 

Quantity surveying is a good career because it offers the ability to move around sectors, career progression, and excellent compensation. Moreover, quantity surveyors spend much of their time on the field monitoring construction sites or meeting with clients, architects, and engineers.
